DaBro
DaBro (Mehdi Bouanani, b. in 1978) is a Tunisian artist whose practice bridges fine art and urban art practices. A graduate of the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Tunis, he earned a Doctorate in Plastic Arts in Paris in 2009 and now lives between Tunis and Paris.

DaBro organized his first exhibition, In Light of Van Gogh, at Yahia Gallery in 1995, for which he was awarded a residency in Arles, France. Since then, he has exhibited widely in Tunisia, at venues such as Kanvas Art Gallery and Hope Contemporary, as well as across Europe, including France, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. In 2013, he completed the public mural Portrait of Farhat Hached in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

Blending charcoal, spray paint, acrylic, and oil, DaBro explores identity, memory, and the pulse of city life, capturing the coexistence of tradition and modernity in contemporary Tunisian society.
