Inloco Storage metaverse is the virtual space of an urban art project and gallery in Dubai. Artist's works there are not displayed on the walls, but stored in a shipping container that visitors can interact with. This isn't just a replication of a physical space; it's an invitation to dive deep into the heart of each artist's creative universe.
Unlock the sections of the golden container to explore a digital world where every artist's oeuvre, mood, and style come to life.
Useless Palace
Useless Palace metaverse extends an invitation for introspection on the nature of both digital and physical nomadism. Within this virtual realm, users can explore a recreation of a site-specific art intervention in the Sharjah desert, where an abandoned village was turned into an artistic statement.
The virtual exhibition space is divided into three distinct areas. The first is a “white box” exhibition hall, showcasing paintings, sculptures, and various art objects that artists crafted, drawing inspiration from their desert journey. Certain pieces within this area are interactive, coming alive when visitors position themselves at specific points in the virtual environment. The second area replicates the desert, allowing users to wander through the reimagined abandoned village. The third area, a construction zone turned movie theatre, offers visitors the opportunity to view a documentary about the artistic endeavor every 10 minutes.
Idealised City
The Idealised City is a solo exhibition by Filippo Minnelli in the physical and virtual space of Inloco Gallery (Dubai). It's an interdisciplinary research project related to the study and artistic interpretation of modern landscapes in the era of post-globalism. It uniquely blends the physical and digital realms, offering an exhibition that includes an outdoor installation, along with photography, video, paintings, and sculptures, which extends from the physical venue into the Metaverse, inviting visitors to explore further dimensions of the artwork in a digital landscape.
The journey doesn't end at the gallery; it extends into the digital world, where playful interactions within the Metaverse allow you to discover artistic installations scattered across Dubai and delve into the artworks highlighted in this project.
