Ismail Zaidy
Born in Marrakech, Ismail Zaidy (b. 1997) is a Moroccan photographer celebrated for his vibrant, poetic imagery that explores emotion, family, and identity. Working primarily from the rooftop of his family home — his self-made “Studio Sa3ada” (Studio of Happiness) — Zaidy transforms intimate spaces into stages of color and feeling.

His work often features his siblings, emphasizing the strength of familial bonds and the subtle language of connection. Faces are sometimes veiled, sometimes revealed, yet always charged with emotion. Through pastel tones, layered fabrics, and the soft interplay of light and material, Zaidy constructs a visual world that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Zaidy has collaborated with GQ and Vogue Arabia, and has exhibited internationally at Photo London (2023), 1-54 Marrakech (2023), and Zona MACO (2023). He has also expanded his practice into digital art through NFT platforms such as SuperRare and Foundation.
