The scene unfolds against the backdrop of an abandoned village in the Mleiha desert of Sharjah, UAE. Contemporary street photography, serves as a form of communication with the chosen location. In this context, a singular camel, an icon of the desert is hidden behind man made barbed wire, implying containment, and the presence of lingering humanity. “Untitled (Camel)” is a unique print, captured by Anton Selone as part of the “Useless Palace” project led by Inloco.
The photography by Anton Selone was captured using a 60-year-old Hasselblad film camera and Fujifilm 400h film. The work was printed on Hahnemuhle barite paper with 350 GSM with a guarantee of 100 years.

Paisagem series
Italian contemporary artist Filippo Minelli created the “Paisagem” series in 2020, drawing inspiration from the landscapes along the Portuguese-Spanish border where his studio is located. In this series, Minelli combines natural materials transferred onto paper and canvas with photographic imagery depicting urban scenes marked by human intervention. This juxtaposition creates a dialogue between the untouched natural elements and the altered urban environments, inviting viewers to reconsider everyday items often overlooked. Through “Paisagem,” Minelli explores liminal spaces, both politically and aesthetically, challenging perceptions of contemporary landscapes. The Portuguese term for “landscape,” “Paisagem,” serves as a central motif in Minelli's work, reflecting his fascination with the interplay between nature and human influence.
